5H  Tanzania – Kasimir, DL2SBY will be active again as 5H1KB from Zanzibar Island (AF-032) on 3-12 June. He will operate CW, SSB and FT8 (MSHV) on the HF bands with verticals and an inverted vee, and on 6 metres with a 5-element yagi. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or direct to home call.

CE0Y  Easter Island – Manu, CE3YMR will be active as 3G0YM from Easter Island (SA-001) sometime in June. He will operate SSB and FT8 on 40, 30, 10 and 6 metres. QSL direct to home call. See https://www.qrz.com/db/3G0YM for possible updates.

DL  Germany – DB70DLRS is a special callsign marking the 70th anniversary of the Deutschland-Rundspruch, the DARC’s weekly news broadcast tailored specifically for amateur radio enthusiasts in Germany. Look for activity on all bands and modes from 1 June to 31 December. QSL via DK5ON, LoTW and DCL (DARC Community Logbook). More information can be found on https://www.qrz.com/db/DB70DLRS.

EA  Spain – Pope Leo XIV’s upcoming apostolic journey to Spain will be the first papal visit to the country since 2011. To mark the event, Spanish amateurs are allowed to replace their normal prefix from 6 to 12 June as follows: EA stations can use AM#14, EB stations can use AN#14 and EC stations can use AO#14, where “#” is the digit of their call area. For example, EA4CT will use AM414CT.
In addition, members of the Unio de Radioaficionats de Barcelona i Baix Llobregat (EA3MM) will use EG3SAFA on 1-14 June. This special callsign marks the inauguration (10 June) of the recently-completed main and tallest tower (172.5 metres) of the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona’s iconic basilica designed by Antoni Gaudi. FS  Saint Martin – John, K9EL will be active again as FS/K9EL from St. Martin (NA-105) on 10-24 June. He will operate CW and FT8 on 80-10 metres, but with a focus on 6 metres when the band is open. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS (preferred), LoTW, or via K9EL.

HA  Hungary – Special callsign HG26TISZA (QSL via HA0NAR) will be used during this year’s Tisza Cup, the International HF Contest (SSB and CW) to be held on 6 June, from 00:00 UTC to 14:59 UTC. Complete information can be found on https://www.tiszacup.eu/.

HI  Dominican Republic – In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Radio Club Dominicano, founded on 12 June 1926, a team of operators will be active as HI100RCD on 1-15 June. Operations will take place on 80-10 metres SSB, CW, and digital modes. QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.

I Italy – Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic, II3RITN (ARI Trento), II9RICT (ARI Catania), IR2RAOR (ARI Vigevano), and IR5RTSE (ARI Toscana Sud Est) will be active on 1-28 June. Several other callsigns in the format II#Rxxx or IR#Rxxx are expected to join this operating event: https://hamaward.cloud/awards.

I  Italy – Look for Gino IK8QQM/ID9 and Angelo IK8VRQ/ID9 to be active from Stromboli Island (EU-017) on 6-8 June. They will operate QRP on the HF bands and 6 metres. QSLs via home calls, direct or bureau. XX9 – Alberto, VR2XAN (IV3TAN) will be active as XX9TXN from Macau on 2-9 June. He will operate SSB, CW and FT8 on various bands, with “a special focus on North America”. QSL via IV3SKB and LoTW.

ZB2  Gibraltar – ZB2FTY is the special callsign celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Gibraltar Amateur Radio Society, established on 13 January 1976, as well as the 80th anniversary since the first ever ZB2 callsign was issued (April 1946). QSL direct to ZB2BU.
