4W  East Timor – George, 4W/EA2TA, Christian 4W/EA3NT and Simon 4W/IZ7ATN are active from Timor Leste until 28 April. They operate CW, SSB and FT8 on 80-6 metres. QSL all calls via IZ7ATN and LoTW.

5Z4  Kenya – Paul, MM0ZBH is currently active as 5Z4/MM0ZBH from Kenya until 15 June. He operates CW, SSB and FT8 and is QRV holiday style while volunteering at a local school. QSL via LoTW and M0OXO’s OQRS.

9M2  West Malaysia – Team 9M4PI will be active from Pangkor Island (AS-072), West Malaysia on 1-3 May. QSL direct to 9M2HUS. More information can be found on https://www.qrz.com/db/9M4PI.

A6  United Arab Emirates – The Emirates Amateur Radio Society participates in the “Proud of UAE” campaign, the nationwide initiative celebrating the country’s progress and identity. Look for A60PE (individual operators may append a serial number to the special callsign: A60PE/0, A60PE/1, etc.) to be used through 31 May. See https://www.qrz.com/db/A60PE for the QSL routes.

CN  Morocco – Pascal, F8NQV will be active as CN2NQV from Sidi Rahal Chatai, Morocco between 25 April and 11 July. Look for him on or around 7155, 14345, 18140, 21165 and 28575 kHz.

E6  Niue – Murray, ZL1MGA will be active holiday style as E6MGA from Niue (OC-040) from 25 April to 1 May. He will operate SSB and digital on 40, 20 and possibly 15 and 10 metres, likely between 04:00-09:00 UTC. Paper QSL cards will not be available, and QSOs will be uploaded only to QRZ.com.

EA  Spain – Once again the Federacion Digital EA will operate special callsigns AO1EU, AO2EU, AO3EU, AO4EU, AO5EU, AO6EU, AO7EU, AO8EU and AO9EU on 1-10 May to celebrate Europe Day, the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration (9 May 1950) that paved the way to the European Union. GJ  Jersey – “BJ”, KO7T will be active as MJ/KO7T from Jersey (EU-013) on 8-9 May. He will operate CW, SSB, FT8 and RTTY on 20-10 metres. QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW, Club Log and QRZ; paper QSL cards will not be provided.

HF0  South Shetland Islands – Rafal, SQ4O is a member of the 50th Polish Antarctic Expedition to the Henryk Arctowski Station on King George Island, South Shetland Islands (AN-010). He will be working there from May to October, and in his spare time he will be QRV as HF0PAS on the HF bands (SSB and CW) and 6 metres (FT8). QSL route TBA.

HL  South Korea – Special event station HL59KDJC will be active on 24-26 April during the 59th King Danjong Culture Festival, taking place in the city of Yeongwol in Gangwon Province. QSL via HL1IBG.

JA  Japan – 8J70JARE is a special callsign celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, which on 29 January 1957 established Syowa Station on East Ongul Island. The special callsign will be in use from various locations across Japan between 22 May 2026 and 29 January 2027. QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the bureau; direct cards should be sent to JG2MLI.

LA, SM  Morokulien – Martin DK4WM, Joerg DK3JF and Ingomar DL9ET will be active as either LG5LG and SJ9WL from Morokulien, the station on the border between Sweden and Norway, from 27 April to 2 May. They will operate mainly SSB, RTTY and FT modes on various bands. QSLs via LA7TIA.

UA  European Russia – A very large number of Russian stations using the special prefix RP81 (where the letter P stands for ‘pobeda’, i.e. ‘victory’) will be QRV on 1-9 May to mark the 81st anniversary of the end of World War II. VE  Canada – Mike, VE2XB (VY0ZOO and VY0BRR) is in Kangiqsujuaq/Wakeham Bay, Quebec until 25 April. His itinerary then moves into Nunavut, with an expected stay in Sanikiluaq on Flaherty Island (NA-196) between 26 April and 4 May, followed by Qikiqtarjuaq on Broughton Island (NA-130) on 5-15 May. Usually he operates SSB and CW on 40-10 metres in his spare time. QSL direct to VE2XB.

VK9N  Norfolk Island – Dom, VK2HJ visits Norfolk Island regularly for work, and when he has time he operates portable as VK9HJ. He can be QRV on 20-10 metres. QSOs will be uploaded only to QRZ.com.

ZL7  Chatham Islands – Holger, ZL3IO will be active again as ZL7IO from Waitangi, Chatham Islands (OC-038) from 25 May to 3 June, including an entry in the CQ WW WPX CW Contest. He will operate CW, SSB and digital on 160-10 metres. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or via DK7AO.
